Meta-Anfhora

2024
Tank: Water-based enamel on galvanised sheet metal. Perimeter walls: Fine quartz wall paint on concrete. Base: Two-component resin and epoxy resin in water dispersion on concrete
ca. 600 sqm
Location: Roma, Italy
Painted on the fire-protection tank of a logistics centre as part of Prologis' PARK Life project, the work deals with the importance of trade and cultural exchange in the development of human society. The work, which has considerable symbolic content, depicts an enormous amphora that has emerged from an archaeological excavation with a fragment missing. In an operation of reification of the narrative, the artist has reconstructed the fragment in the form of a sculpture.
